Lientros

Lientros is a village of some 300 people (about 60 timber houses) on the southwestern shore of Lake Ámia, where the river leaves the lake southward.
The lake lies northeast; the river runs south past the village's west side. Across the water looms the dark forest, and the village keeps a wooden palisade on that flank. A road follows the river south. Jetties and fishing boats serve the lake.
Things come out of the far forest at night, the fishers say, and the palisade gate is barred at dusk.
