General description

Horses range from less than 50kg to more than 1000kg. Riding horses are generally 150–160cm high, while ponies are about 120–140cm. Horses come in any variety of black, gray, white, brown or redbrown. Ponies are generally tougher and more surefooted than horses.

Social structure

Wild horses live in herds which may number more than 100 individuals. The herd is led by the only fully grown stallion in the herd and an old mare.

Diet

The horse is herbivorous, living mainly on grass. A much used horse requires about 1kg of hay and 2kg of grain per 100kg of weight per day. Ponies generally do well on a less grain dominated diet.

Special skills

Horses are generally able to jump their own height vertically and quite a few meters in length.

Mental description

Horses are generally easily frightened and thus hard to train for combat. Most horses are real cowards and will make a lot out of a wound. Taming them is quite easy.
