Ijantor is a lone watchtower island two nautical miles off the Mieronir coast, a couple of hundred metres across.

A tall stone tower with a signal fire basket crowns the island's height, with a walled yard and a handful of outbuildings below. A stone slipway on the north side shelters the keepers' boat. Waves break on the southern cliffs; the mainland is a thin line on the horizon.

Ijantor's fire is Merisi's first warning of pirates or worse; the tower has never been taken from the sea.
