General description
The wolf is famous for its strength, courage and persistence. The fur is dark gray to white. Wolves are mostly found in forests.
Social structure
The wolf is a very sociable animal. They live in separate families or in groups of two or three couples and their pups. In such a group, there rules a strict social rank system. There is one exclusive male leader and it stays with its dominant female. They get 4–7 pups per litter.
Diet
The wolf hunts in well organised packs. It eats anything from a mouse to a deer. Small rodents are its everyday food.
Mental description
The wolf is a sly and intelligent creature. It is actually not as dangerous as it is reputed to be. There are no reliable records of wolves ever attacking humans without provocation.
