Tol Paras is a hamlet of some 150 people (about 30 houses) on the coast southeast of Alesir, behind a scatter of bare skerries.<br />
<br />
The sea lies east, studded with rocks; forest stands west and north. The road from the northwest ends here, at the last houses before open water.<br />
<br />
The skerries break the worst of the storms, and wrecks on them have furnished more than one house in Tol Paras.<br />
